Workshops and Seminars

Workshops and seminars form the cornerstone of our school’s commitment to continuous professional development, ensuring our educators remain at the forefront of evolving educational trends. These enriching sessions not only illuminate the latest advancements in education but also empower our teachers to implement these innovations effectively within their classrooms, fostering an atmosphere of dynamic growth and learning.

Our workshops encompass a diverse array of topics, from team-building exercises and innovative teaching methodologies to comprehensive insights into the National Education Policy and pedagogical transformations. Additionally, the spiritual sessions conducted periodically by the Acharyas of Chinmaya Mission infuse a sense of positivity, mindfulness, and emotional well-being into our teaching-learning environment, fostering a holistic approach to education. These sessions also allow teachers to reconnect with their sense of purpose and passion for teaching, helping them cultivate a deeper sense of fulfillment in their profession.

Key Workshops and Seminars

1. Workshop on Self-Effectiveness and Team Building : This highly engaging session, led by Prof. S.K. Palhan, offered our teachers practical tools to enhance their self-efficacy and build stronger collaborative teams. Through interactive activities and insightful discussions, the teachers gained a deeper understanding of their personal strengths and areas for improvement, enabling them to work together more effectively and confidently in their teaching roles.

2. Mentoring the Mentors Programme : Aimed at strengthening leadership skills and empowering experienced educators, the Mentoring the Mentors Programme conducted by Dr. Ashok Pandey, Director of Ahlcon Schools, focused on best practices in mentoring and guiding new educators. The session provided valuable insights into fostering a nurturing, supportive environment for teachers at all stages of their careers, helping them navigate challenges and build lasting connections within the school community.

3. New Ideas in Teaching – An Interactive SessionA particularly impactful session, led by Pujya Swami Chidrupananandaji and Acharya K. Sashidharji, brought fresh perspectives to teaching and learning. Pujya Swamiji, a renowned Vedantic scholar and an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, guided our teachers on how to create a vibrant, joyful classroom environment. Emphasizing the importance of nurturing curiosity and self-motivation in students, he encouraged teachers to move away from fear-based strategies and instead cultivate joy as a primary motivator. Acharyaji’s wisdom encouraged educators to reinvent themselves constantly, keeping a fresh and open mind to ensure their approach to teaching remains relevant, engaging, and impactful.

4. Chinmaya Vision Programme (CVP) Workshops: The Chinmaya Vision Programme (CVP) is the bedrock of our Vidyalaya’s education system. To ensure its continuous evolution in the changing educational landscape, we conduct regular CVP workshops, guided by the Zonal Director of Education, Sh. Biswaroop Mukhopadhyay. These workshops provide educators with deeper insights into the spiritual and philosophical underpinnings of the CVP, allowing them to seamlessly integrate its values into their teaching practices. By reinforcing the principles of CVP, teachers are better equipped to guide students in their personal and academic journeys while creating a holistic, value-based learning environment.

5.CBSE Training Workshops : Our commitment to quality education is further enhanced by regular CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) training sessions for our educators. These workshops are conducted to ensure that our teachers are well-versed in the latest CBSE guidelines, curricula updates, and assessment methods. The CBSE training programs focus on improving pedagogical strategies, understanding the holistic development of students, and incorporating the best practices for examination and evaluation. Teachers are trained to adapt to CBSE’s dynamic approach, which emphasizes student-centric learning, experiential education, and inquiry-based methods. These training programs not only keep educators updated with the evolving educational standards but also enable them to foster an environment that aligns with CBSE’s vision for comprehensive learning.

Incorporating Global Trends and Innovation in Education

Our workshops are not limited to traditional teaching methods; they also encompass global trends and innovations in education. Sessions on digital literacy, inclusive education, the integration of technology in the classroom, and fostering creativity among students ensure that our educators remain adaptable and equipped to meet the needs of an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world.

Collaborative Learning and Growth

One of the most exciting aspects of our professional development initiatives is the collaborative nature of our workshops. Teachers have the opportunity to learn from one another, sharing their experiences, challenges, and successes. This sense of community is key to our school’s ongoing success, as it helps cultivate a strong, supportive network of educators who are always eager to learn and grow together.

Through these workshops and seminars, we remain steadfast in our belief that a commitment to continuous learning is vital for both personal and professional growth. By empowering our educators with knowledge, tools, and spiritual wisdom, we continue to create a nurturing, progressive, and vibrant learning environment for all.
